Manhattan ist eine Insel und liegt zwischen dem East River und dem Hudson River. Im Norden trennt Manhattan der Harlem River vom Festland. Durch die vielen Tunnels, Brücken und Fähren ist die Insel Manhattan inzwischen gut mit seinem Umland verbunden.
