Weissagung

Denn ich merkte, daß ihn Gott nicht gesandt hatte. Denn er sagte wohl Weissagung auf mich; aber Tobia und Saneballat hatten ihm Geld gegeben.

And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.

Weissagung ist in dem Munde des Königs; sein Mund fehlt nicht im Gericht.

A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.

Denn es soll hinfort kein falsches Gesicht und keine Weissagung mit Schmeichelworten mehr sein im Hause Israel.

For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.

Kommissar Verheugen äußerte sich vor kurzem in ähnlicher Weise wie diese Weissagung.

Disappointingly enough for him, the oracle adds,'but not during your term in office '.

Und so jemand davontut von den Worten des Buchs dieser Weissagung, so wird Gott abtun sein Teil von Holz des Lebens und von der heiligen Stadt, davon in diesem Buch geschrieben ist.

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
