Die Eurokrise bereitet der Bundeskanzlerin auch innenpolitische Schwierigkeiten. Seit Monaten feilscht sie mit der Opposition um deren Zustimmung zum Fiskalpakt für mehr Haushaltsdisziplin und zum neuen, permanenten Rettungsschirm ESM. Beide Gesetze sollen im Bundestag im Paket verabschiedet werden, der deutschen Beteiligung am Europäischen Stabilitätsmechanismus müssen allerdings zwei Drittel der Abgeordneten zustimmen. Die Bundesregierung braucht somit die Stimmen der Opposition.

Both laws are to be adopted as a package in the Bundestag, the German participation in the European Stability Mechanism must agree, however, two thirds of the deputies. The Federal Government therefore needs the votes of the opposition.
