Die vorletzte Redaktionsstufe V. 4f.16ab.b.25f. ist die Textebene, zu der u.a. auch Dtn 13,13-18 und der Einschub ins Kriegsgesetz in 20,15-18 gehören, sowie die mit einer historisieren-den Gebotseinleitung verbundenen Texte Dtn 11,29-12,7; 12,29-31 und das Prophetengesetz in Dtn 18,9-22. Diesen in persischer Zeit verfassten Texten ist gemein, dass sie harte Kult-kritik an jenen (kanaanäischen) Völkern betreiben und dabei die Mechanismen des Banns und auch des Jhwh-Krieges auf das eigene Volk übertragen, das sich zu jenen Gräuel hinziehen lässt. In diesem Zuge wird zugleich das hb[wt-Konzept modifiziert.
