Das Sperrfilter kann in dem betreffenden Wellenleiter auf einfache Weise, beispielsweise in Form eines Bragg-Gitters realisiert werden, beispielsweise mit einem Excimer-Laser und Phasenmasken oder holografisch. Dadurch ist es vorteilhafterweise möglich, für jeden Wellenlängenkanal ein Sperrfilter gemäß Kundenwunsch mit unterschiedlicher Bandbreite und Dämpfung in einem diesem Kanal zugeordneten Wellenleiter zu realisieren, wobei vorteilhafterweise die Abflachung der Transmissionsfunktion jedes dieser Wellenleiter kundenspezifisch eingestellt werden kann. Unabhängig vom Betrieb der erfindungsgemäßen Anordnung als Demultiplexer oder Multiplexer kann für jeden Wellenlängenkanal das Sperrfilter in dem diesem Kanal allein zugeordneten Wellenleiter und/oder in dem allen Wellenlängenkanälen gemeinsam zugeordneten Wellenleiter ausgebildet sein.
