Unsicherheiten bestehen außerdem durch die strikte Abgrenzung des Untersuchungsraums als hydrologisch autarke Insel innerhalb der Stadt, wodurch z.B. der Tidenhub des Meeres und die Verteilung des Wassers in der Fläche nicht dargestellt werden konnten. Dies ist aufgrund des geringen Zeitrahmens zweckmäßig und würde bei einer Anwendung der Methode für das gesamte Flusseinzugsgebietes obsolet. Um die Modellierung auf das gesamte Flusseinzugsgebiet auszuweiten wurden Vorschläge zur Modifizierung der verwendeten Methoden und Verfahren gemacht.
