In vitro Verfahren zur Diagnose klinischer Subtypen von CD bei einem Patienten mit Morbus Crohn (CD), Schritte umfassend, bei denen man bestimmt, ob Perinukleäre anti-Neutrophile Antikörper (perinuclear anti-neutrophil antibody, pANCA) oder Gesprenkelte anti-panpolymorphonukleäre Antikörper (speckling anti-pan polymorphonuclear antibody, SAPPA) in dem Patienten mit CD vorhanden sind, wobei die Anwesenheit von pANCA auf einen klinischen Subtyp von CD mit Merkmalen Ulcerativer Colitis (UC) hinweist und wobei die Anwesenheit von SAPPA auf einen klinischen Subtyp von CD mit perforierender, Fisteln bildender oder Dünndarm-Verschluß-Erkrankung hinweist.

An in vitro method of diagnosing clinical subtypes of CD in a patient with Crohn's disease (CD), comprising determining whether perinuclear anti-neutrophil antibody, (pANCA) or speckling anti-pan polymorphonuclear antibody (SAPPA) is present in said patient with CD, wherein the presence of pANCA indicates a clinical subtype of CD with features of ulcerative colitis (UC) and wherein the presence of SAPPA indicates a clinical subtype of CD having perforating, fistulizing or small bowel obstructive disease.
