Man pachtet das Land über einen Zeitraum von 30 Jahren, mit der Option auf Vertragsverlängerung, wonach das Eigentumsrecht auf das auf dem Land errichteten Gebäudes erworben wird.

Das Besucheraufkommen belief sich im ersten Jahr auf 30.000 Besucher und in den darauf folgenden Jahren auf 10.000 - 12.000 Besucher. Betreiber ist der Verein "Tal der Loreley", der das Besucherzentrum für 20.000 € im Jahr von der Verbandsgemeinde Braubach-Loreley pachtet. Finanziert wird das Loreley-Besucherzentrum durch Einnahmen aus Eintritten zur Ausstellung und Einnahmen des Bistros. Die gesamten Einnahmen decken allerdings nicht die Kosten, so dass am Ende eines Jahres 20.000 € Defizit bleiben.

Für selbst genutzte Gebäude oder bei laufenden Mietverträgen gibt es keine Ausweispfl icht.
