The mid-season in Carinthia is a problem as for the tourism industry.

   For fifty years the Slovene ethnic minority in the Austrian part of Carinthia has waited for the implementation of Article 7 of the Vienna State Treaty, and now that Austria holds the presidency of the European Union, the time has finally come to implement at least some of the rights secured for the Slovene minority in the Constitution, principally that of bilingual topography.

   Fünfzig Jahre lang hat die slowenische ethnische Minderheit im österreichischen Bundesland Kärnten auf die Umsetzung von Artikel 7 des Wiener Staatsvertrags gewartet, und jetzt, da Österreich den Vorsitz in der Europäischen Union innehat, ist endlich die Zeit gekommen, zumindest einige der für die slowenische Minderheit in der Verfassung verankerten Rechte umzusetzen, vor allem das der zweisprachigen Ausschilderung.
