The Angora Rabbit Breed consists of a large variety of types, but the English Angora, French Angora, Giant Angora and the Satin Angora are the only ones recognized in America today. Where they first originated is not documented though it is said that they were first seen in the southern Carpathian Mountains in the 6th century. It is believed that because of the cold climate in the Carpathian Mountains, the Trelicians bred rabbits with long thick fur to make warm clothing. They chose to breed angora rabbits because the rabbit fur was much softer than the goat wool that they originally used.

Die Angora Rabbit Breed besteht aus einer großen Vielfalt von Arten, aber die Engländer Angora, Französisch Angora, Giant Angora und Satin Angora sind die einzigen, in Amerika heute anerkannt. Wo sie zuerst entstanden ist nicht dokumentiert, obwohl es heißt, dass sie zum ersten Mal in den südlichen Karpaten im 6. Jahrhundert zu sehen. Es wird angenommen, dass aufgrund des kalten Klimas in den Karpaten, die Trelicians Kaninchen gezüchtet mit langen dicken Fell, warme Kleidung zu machen. Sie entschieden sich, Angorakaninchen zu züchten, weil das Kaninchen Fell war viel weicher als die Ziege Wolle, die sie ursprünglich verwendet.

This popular family restaurant cherishes tradition, serving up fine Western Slovak cuisine. The house speciality is roast goose, and the goose liver and soup are also exceptional. It has an excellent wine cellar that is comprised mainly of local wines. Its location in the foothills of the Carpathian mountains is lovely and is only a 30-minute drive from Bratislava.

Es verfügt über einen exzellenten Weinkeller, die vor allem von lokalen Weinen besteht. Die Lage in den Ausläufern der Karpaten ist sehr schön und ist nur eine 30-minütige Fahrt von Bratislava.

The most spectacular representative of this class is the Keelback slug (Bielzia coerulans), which is endemic to the Carpathian mountains.

Einer ihrer sehenswürdigster Vertreter ist der Blauschnegel (Bielzia coerulans), der nur in dem Karpatenbecken lebt.

Nearby are two spectacular natural sites, the Lacu Roºu a beautiful lake in the mountains, and nearby is the Cheile Bicazului, which is a dramatic narrow canyon through the Eastern Carpathian Mountains forming the border with Neamþ County.

Gheorgheni liegt inmitten der Ostkarpaten und hat daher eine reizvolle Umgebung. In der Nähe befindet sich der Stausee Lacu Roºu (Gyilkos-tó, Roter See). Zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Stadt zählt unter anderem die gotische Kirche aus dem 15. Jahrhundert.
