Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;

Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the morter, make strong the brickkiln.

Schöpfe dir Wasser, denn du wirst belagert werden! Bessere deine Festen! Gehe in den Ton und tritt den Lehm und mache starke Ziegel!

Geneva Bible Notes: 2Sa 12:31 And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under (1) saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brickkiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem. (1) Signifying that as they were malicious enemies of God, so he put them to cruel death.

Aber das Volk drinnen führte er heraus und legte sie unter eiserne Sägen und Zacken und eiserne Keile und verbrannte sie in Ziegelöfen. So tat er allen Städten der Kinder Ammon. Da kehrte David und alles Volk wieder gen Jerusalem.
