Abstract STUDY DESIGN: A randomized controlled trial. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effectiveness and cost of usual care plus patient choice of acupuncture, chiropractic, or massage therapy (choice) compared with usual care alone in patients with acute low back pain (LBP).

Zusammenfassung Studiendesign: Eine randomisierte kontrollierte Studie. Ziel: Verbesserung der Wirksamkeit und Kosten der üblichen Sorgfalt sowie die freie Arztwahl der Akupunktur, Chiropraktik, oder Massage-Therapie (Wahl), verglichen mit der üblichen Behandlung allein bei Patienten mit akuten Schmerzen im unteren Rückenbereich (LBP) zu untersuchen.
