The Energy Conservatory’s (TEC) DG-700 Simulator software is a training tool that allows trainers to control and project a mirror image of a live Energy Conservatory DG-700 pressure and flow gauge on a projector screen and/or a computer monitor. Functions and modes of the DG 700 are operable by mouse clicks from your desktop. The DG-700 Simulator can also be used with the TEC Training Tent to provide a realistic simulation of a Blower Door, Duct Blaster and Zonal Pressure tests

Most users should never have to edit fan calibration parameters. TECTITE Express comes with default fan calibration parameters which work for all standard Blower Door and Duct Blaster fans. This feature is necessary only if you receive custom calibration parameters for your fan from The Energy Conservatory.

The easiest way to quickly check your computer for all currently installed communication ports and connected Energy Conservatory Devices is to use the SCAN FOR PORTS AND DEVICES button. Once the Scan window is open, clicking on START SCAN will provide a list of all installed communication ports on your computer. The scan will also show all Energy Conservatory Devices that are connected to the listed communication ports.

Before beginning an automated test or cruise procedure, TECTITE Express checks to be sure that your computer is communicating properly with Energy Conservatory Devices (e.g. DG-700 or APT DAB) that are connected to the designated COM Ports in the COM Port Selection window. Automated testing or cruising cannot begin until the necessary communication link(s) have been established (the START TEST and CRUISE buttons are grayed out if there are communication problems).

Note: If the PRIMARY COM Port is set to AUTO SELECT, then TECTITE Express will search all COM Ports on the computer and attempt to establish a communication link with the first Energy Conservatory Device that it finds. Any Device connected to the designated PRIMARY COM Port is considered the PRIMARY Device.
