1. Any information communicated in whatsoever form pursuant to this Agreement shall be of a confidential or restricted nature, depending on the rules applicable in each of the Contracting Parties. It shall be covered by the obligation of official secrecy and shall enjoy the protection extended to similar information under the relevant laws of the Contracting Party that received it and the corresponding provisions applying to the Community authorities.

(1) Sämtliche Auskünfte nach Maßgabe dieses Abkommens sind je nach den Vorschriften der einzelnen Vertragsparteien vertraulich bzw. ausschließlich dienstlich zu verwenden, gleichgültig, in welcher Form sie erteilt werden. Sie unterliegen dem Dienstgeheimnis und genießen den Schutz sowohl der für derartige Auskünfte geltenden Rechtsvorschriften der Vertragspartei, die sie erhalten hat, als auch der entsprechenden für die Gemeinschaftsstellen geltenden Vorschriften.

In case any one Contracting Party feels unable to comply with this obligation regarding confidential information that has been transmitted to it, it shall inform the transmitting Contracting Party about it without any delay and retransmit the transmitted information.

Sieht sich eine Vertragspartei außerstande, diese Verpflichtung in bezug auf eine ihr übermittelte vertrauliche Information einzuhalten, unterrichtet sie unverzüglich die übermittelnde Vertragspartei hierüber und sendet die übermittelte Information zurück.

Each Contracting Party may terminate this Agreement by giving notice to the other in writing.

(3) Jede Vertragspartei kann dieses Abkommen durch schriftliche Notifizierung an die andere Vertragspartei kündigen.

12.1. A Contracting Party may withdraw from this Agreement by notifying the Secretary-General in writing.

12.1. Eine Vertragspartei kann dieses Übereinkommen durch eine an den Generalsekretär gerichtete schriftliche Notifikation kündigen.

Either Contracting Party may denounce this Agreement by notifying the other Contracting Party in writing. In that case, the Agreement shall cease to have effect six months after the date of such notification.

Jede Vertragspartei kann dieses Abkommen jederzeit kündigen, indem sie ihren Beschluss der anderen Vertragspartei schriftlich notifiziert. Die Kündigung wird sechs Monate nach dem Tag wirksam, an dem die Notifikation der Kündigung eingegangen ist.

Where a Contracting Party asks to use such information for other purposes, it shall request the prior written agreement of the supplying authority.

Beantragt eine Vertragspartei die Verwendung dieser Informationen für andere Zwecke, so hat sie vorher die schriftliche Zustimmung der Behörde einzuholen, von der die Informationen stammen.

5. Dissemination of information among customs authorities within each Contracting Party will occur only on a need-to-know basis. Where information is shared pursuant to this paragraph, the Contracting Party that supplied the information shall be so informed in advance of sharing the information.

(5) Die Weitergabe von Auskünften unter den Zollbehörden einer Vertragspartei erfolgt nur im Bedarfsfall. Werden Auskünfte nach diesem Absatz weitergegeben, so ist die Vertragspartei, die sie erteilt hat, im voraus von dieser Weitergabe zu unterrichten.

3. At the proposal of a Contracting Party, the Executive Committee may decide to alter the amount provided for under point (e) of Article 6(1).

(3) Auf Vorschlag einer Vertragspartei kann der Exekutivausschuss beschließen, den Betrag nach Artikel 6 Absatz 1 Buchstabe e) zu ändern.
