4.7 . Rearing systems for herbivores are to be based on maximum use of pasturage according to the availablity of pastures in the different periods of the year . At least 60 % of the dry matter in daily rations is to consist of roughage , fresh or dried fodder , or silage . Nevertheless , the inspection authority or body can permit a reduction to 50 % for animals in dairy production for a maximum period of three months in early lactation .

4.7 . Aufzuchtsysteme fuer Pflanzenfresser sollten nach Verfuegbarkeit der Weiden zu den verschiedenen Jahreszeiten ein Maximum an Weidegang gewaehren . Mindestens 60 % der Trockenmasse in der Tagesration muss aus frischem , getrocknetem oder siliertem Rauhfutter bestehen . Die Kontrollbehoerde oder -stelle kann jedoch bei Milchvieh fuer hoechstens drei Monate waehrend der fruehen Laktation eine Verringerung dieses Prozentsatzes auf 50 % zulassen .
