The stamp of the diplomatic mission or consular post issuing the visa shall be affixed in the "COMMENTS" section, with special care to ensure that it does not prevent data from being read, and shall extend beyond the sticker on to the page of the passport or travel document. Only in cases where it is necessary to dispense with the completion of the section to be electronically scanned may the stamp be placed in this section to render it unusable. The size and content of the stamp and the ink to be used shall be determined by the national provisions of the Member State.

The diplomatic mission of the the Republic of Macedonia, if the Republic of Macedonia has a diplomatic mission in the concerned receiving State, or Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia (hereinafter referred to as the MFA of the Republic of Macedonia) shall propose the opening of a consular post headed by an honorary consular officer in the concerned receiving State.

Die diplomatische Vertretung der Republik Mazedonien, wenn die Republik Mazedonien hat eine diplomatische Vertretung in dem betreffenden Empfängerstaat oder Außenministerium der Republik Mazedonien (im Folgenden als MFA der Republik Mazedonien genannt) schlagen die Eröffnung eines konsularischen Postens unter der Leitung von einem Honorar-Konsularbeamten in dem betreffenden Empfängerstaat.

Article 5: Member State responsible for processing the visa applicationThese provisions have been carried over from the CCI and set out the criteria for determining which diplomatic mission or consular post is responsible for processing a visa application. Applications for multiple entry visas shall be submitted to the consular post of the Member State where the applicant usually goes (which is the justification for applying for a multiple entry visa), although the holder would be allowed to travel to other destinations within the Member States. The reason why such visas can only be issued in the applicant’s country of residence is that only the consular post situated there will be able to fully assess the integrity of the applicant.
