edge of the road

The remainder of the trip to Bella's hometown was pretty uneventful. We only stopped a couple of times and didn't talk much when we did. There was definitely still tension between us, and I felt it the most when Bella brought out the cash left by my uncle to fill up the gas tank of the motorcycle. I was still pissed at that asshole for showing up there. We drew close to the edge of a small town, and I noticed the little sign near the edge of the road advertizing the town of Forks. I wasn't really sure how you could call it a town, because apparently there was only the one stop light, but that's what it said on the sign. After the first few minutes I realized we were just kind of cruising around – backtracking over the same streets a couple of times. At one point we passed the local high school and a dive of a diner, but Bella didn't stop until we got towards the opposite side of town, where she pulled off the road near a small house with a big tree in the back.

Der Rest der Reise in Bella Heimatstadt war ziemlich ereignislos. Wir nur ein paar Mal angehalten und haben nicht viel, wenn wir nicht reden. Es gab auf jeden Fall noch Spannungen zwischen uns, und ich fühlte es am meisten, wenn Bella brachte das Geld von meinem Onkel zu füllen den Tank des Motorrades verlassen.
 
 Ich war immer noch an dieses Arschloch für die Ansicht auf es sauer.
 
 Wir zogen in die Nähe einer Kleinstadt, und ich bemerkte das kleine Schild nahe am Rand der Straße der Stadt Forks Werbung. Ich war nicht wirklich sicher, wie man es nennen könnte eine Stadt, weil anscheinend gab es nur das one-Stop-Licht, aber das ist, was es auf dem Schild sagte. Nachdem die ersten Minuten merkte ich, dass wir nur eine Art umfahren – Rückverfolgung über die gleichen Straßen ein paar Mal waren. An einer Stelle übergeben wir die örtliche High School und einem Tauchgang von einem Diner, aber Bella nicht aufhören, bis wir in Richtung der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Stadt, wo sie von der Straße in der Nähe von einem kleinen Haus mit einem großen Baum in den Rücken gezogen.
