We offer an internationally competitive salary and allowances. Salaries, allowances and benefits are subject to a tax levied by the European Communities and are therefore exempt from national taxes. Salaries are reviewed annually based on each staff members’ personal development and contribution to the performance of the organisation. Members of staff recruited from outside Germany on to fixed-term contract may also be entitled to an expatriation allowance. A household allowance, a child allowance and an education allowance may also be granted to members of staff depending on their personal circumstances. For staff on short-term contracts we offer temporary accommodation and a monthly travel allowance.

Gehälter, Zulagen und Leistungen unterliegen einer Steuer von den Europäischen Gemeinschaften und sind daher von nationalen Steuern befreit. Mitarbeiter von außerhalb von Deutschland an befristeten Vertrag eingestellt kann auch zu einer Auslandszulage berechtigt. Eine Haushaltszulage, eine Kinderzulage und eine Erziehungszulage kann auch den Mitgliedern des Personals je nach ihren persönlichen Umständen gewährt werden. Für Mitarbeiter ab kurzfristige Verträge bieten wir vorübergehende Unterkunft und ein monatliches Reisekostenpauschale.

Staff members entitled to an expatriation allowance with dependent children who are not paid an education allowance are entitled to be paid in addition an expatriated children allowance as established by the Coordinated Organisations.

Bedienstete mit Anspruch auf eine Expatriierungszulage, die unterhaltsberechtigte Kinder haben und keine Erziehungszulage erhalten, haben zusätzlich Anspruch auf eine Zulage für expatriierte Kinder, wie sie von koordinierten Organisationen festgelegt wurde.

(a) An education allowance shall be granted and paid monthly to any staff member who is entitled to household allowance, and whose dependant children, as defined in Annex III, are in kindergarten, full-time primary, secondary or higher education.
