Wetlands are able to trap nutritive salts and can protect our seas against eutrophication which poses a threat to the reproduction of animal species.

Feuchtgebiete können u.a. als Auffangbecken für Nährsalze fungieren und unsere Meere vor Überdüngung schützen, durch die die Fortpflanzung vieler Tierarten bedroht ist.In der Ostsee ist dies ein großes Problem.
