It is obvious that the role of teachers will change considerably with the introduction of these new technological developments. Although teachers will not entirely lose their conventional role as 'founts of knowledge ', they will certainly have to see themselves as more than this; they must teach individual pupils how to select, understand and use the data offered to them.
