In case of a breach of the provisions, not only the publisher but also the retailer can be held responsible. Writings which contain glorifications of violence according to § 131 of the German Criminal Code (StGB) or so-called hard-core pornography according to § 184 III, are subject to a general sales ban and may not be distributed.
