I did notice that the second picture has what appears to be fine filaments or hair. It's possible also that the anomaly could also be part of someone's figure or a stray hair or two in front of the flash. The personal accounts of haunting activity in the dorm doesn't surprise me. Dorms are notoriously haunted places as they are a hotbed of strong emotions. More than likely, these hauntings aren't intelligent and are really nothing to worry about or be afraid of. My advise is to enjoy it -- not many people can claim they've lived in a haunted location.
