On the other hand, the existing Community programmes in the culture sector do not fully reflect the implications of Europeans' common cultural heritage, which is why we need specific programmes in order to foster creativity and preserve the links, on a wider scale and at a deeper seated level, with the goods and values, both tangible and intangible, that constitute European cultural heritage and to enable those goods and values to interact according to the humanist conception of identities and differences and in present-day cultural works.

Da die zurzeit im Kultursektor zur Verfügung stehenden Gemeinschaftsprogramme der mit dem gemeinsamen Kulturerbe der Europäer verknüpften Situation nicht vollständig gerecht werden, ist es notwendig, spezifische Programme aufzulegen, die die Kreativität fördern und die Verbindung zu den materiellen und immateriellen Gütern und Werten umfassender und tiefgreifender aufrechterhalten, die das europäische Kulturerbe ausmachen, die ihre Interaktion sowohl im humanistischen Verständnis von Identitäten und Unterschieden als auch im aktuellen Kulturbetrieb erleichtern.

After studying the history of the western philosophy and seeing how it had evolved to eventually give birth to Enlightenment, Ali Sina concluded that what ailed the Muslims world is lack of freedom of thought. However, it was only when he read the Qur'an from cover to cover for the first time that he realized the main cause of the backwardness of Muslims is Islam. "After reading the Qur'an, I was in shock," says Ali Sina. "I was shocked to see the violence, hate, inaccuracies, scientific errors, mathematical mistakes, logical absurdities, grammatical solecisms and dubious ethical pronouncements in the book of God." After a period of guilt, confusion, Ali Sina is a Secular Humanist and a World Federalist.
