The main Mongolian Lineament is a traditionally defined and approximate topographic and structural boundary separating dominantly Precambrian and Lower Palaeozoic rocks to the north from dominantly Upper Palaeozoic rocks to the south.

These domains are separated by the so-called Main Mongolian Lineament -an approximate regional topographic and structural boundary separating dominantly Precambrian and Lower to upper Palaeozoic rocks to the south.
