The North Pyrenean Thrust System consists of an imbricate system of north-directed thrust faults. These thrust faults involve Hercynian basement and Mesozoic to lower Eocene cover rocks. Basement rocks comprising the north Pyrenean massifs, as at Saint Barth 616my, are involved in the thrust system as short-cuts of Mesozoic extensional faults. The frontal structure is comprised of an anticline, which has been interpreted as the surficial expression of a duplex.

Diese Schub Fehler beinhalten variskischen Keller und Mesozoikum Eozän Abdeckung Felsen zu senken. Keller rockt bestehend aus den Norden Pyrenäen massive, sind wie bei Saint Barth 616my, beteiligt sind die Schub-System als Abkürzungen des Mesozoikum Dehn-Fehler. Die frontale Struktur besteht ein Antiklinalen, die als interpretiert wurde die Verputz-Ausdruck einer Duplex.

Pick up from hotel & transfer to airport and fly Pokhara/Jomsom 2730m - Kagbeni 2760 m. This morning we take a spectacular flight to Jomsom up the deep Kali Gandaki River valley. There are great views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna massifs from both sides of the aircraft. From here that the trek begins in Jomsom, the administrative district headquarters of Mustang. This small town has a police check-post, communication with Kathmandu, an army camp and the STOL airstrip that we touchdown on. One can immediately notice the change in scenery from Pokhara, the tran-Himalayan which is arid and rocky.

Es gibt tolle Aussicht des Dhaulagiri und Annapurna Massiv von beiden Seiten des Flugzeugs. Von hier aus, dass die Wanderung in Jomsom, der Landkreis Sitz des Mustang beginnt. Diese kleine Stadt hat eine Polizeikontrolle-post, die Kommunikation mit Kathmandu, einem Heerlager und die STOL Landebahn dass wir Aufsetzen auf. Man kann sofort bemerken die Veränderung in der Landschaft von Pokhara, der tran-Himalaya, die trockenen und felsigen ist.
