I can't begin to describe my feelings as I changed into my pajamas. I think I was in shock. I'd gone from worrying about maybe getting my bottom smacked, to facing the utter certainty of a hard caning. I couldn't even look to Jonathan for sympathy. He was outside playing, oblivious to my fate. It had all happened so suddenly, no-one knew except me and Matron – and by now, probably Mr. Bostock as well. At least I wouldn't have to spend hours worrying about what was coming. I didn't appreciate that silver lining at the time, though. All I could think about was the fact that I was going to get my bare bum caned. Would Bossy think lying was naughty, or bad? When he whacked naughty boys, he aimed into their bottoms. When he whacked bad boys, he aimed right through.

Ich kann gar nicht auf meine Gefühle zu beschreiben, wie ich in meinem Pyjama geändert. Ich denke, dass ich schockiert war. Ich hatte von sorgen um vielleicht immer meine unten klatschte, um mit Blick auf die völlige Gewissheit über eine harte Rohrstockzüchtigung gegangen. Ich konnte nicht einmal an Jonathan für Sympathie aussehen. Draußen spielen, war er blind auf mein Schicksal. Es war alles so plötzlich geschehen keiner wusste, außer mir und Matrone – und mittlerweile wahrscheinlich Mr Bostock sowie. Zumindest müsste ich nicht stundenlang Sorgen darüber, was kommen würde. Ich schätzen nicht, dass Silberstreifen damals zwar. Alles, was ich denken konnte war die Tatsache, die ich meinen nackten Penner geprügeltes bekommen wollte. Werden Bossy würden, dass Lügen frech, oder schlecht war? Wenn er böse Buben traf, soll er in ihre Böden. Wenn er die bösen Jungs traf, soll er direkt durch.
