A composition which comprises at least a herbicidally or plant growth regulating amount of a polyvalent metal-free and metalloid-free solution formed by intimately mixing the following ingredients with water: a) at least one agriculturally acceptable amine, alkali metal, alkylsulfonium, alkylphosphonium, sulfonylamine, and/or aminoguaidine salt of glyphosate as the only herbicide(s) or plant growth regulant(s) used in forming the composition; and b) at least one water-soluble long chain aliphatic hydrocarbyl sulfonic acid or agriculturally acceptable salt or ester thereof in which the hydrocarbyl group is a saturated aliphatic group having in the range of 10 to 18 carbon atoms and is terminally substituted by the foregoing fuctionality, as the only surfactant(s) used in forming the composition.

Zusammensetzung, die mindestens eine herbizide oder Pflanzenwachstum regulierende Menge einer an mehrwertigem Metall und Metalloid freien Lösung umfaßt, die durch inniges Mischen der folgenden Bestandteile mit Wasser gebildet worden ist: a) mindestens ein landwirtschaftlich akzeptables Amin-, Alkalimetall-, Alkylsulfonium-, Alkylphosphonium-, Sulfonylamin- und/oder Aminoguanidinsalz von Glyphosat als dem einzigen Herbizid (den einzigen Herbiziden) oder Pflanzenwachstumsregulationsmittel(n), die bei der Bildung der Zusammensetzung verwendet werden, und b) mindestens eine wasserlösliche langkettige aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffsulfonsäure oder ein landwirtschaftlich akzeptables Salz oder ein landwirtschaftlich akzeptabler Ester derselben, in der/dem die Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe eine gesättigte aliphatische Gruppe mit 10 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen ist und endständig durch die zuvor genannte Funktionalität substituiert ist, als dem einzigen Tensid (den einzigen Tensiden), das/die bei der Bildung der Zusammensetzung verwendet wird/werden.

A method of controlling vegetation which comprises applying to plant foliage a herbicidal or plant growth regulant amount of a polyvalent metal-free and metalloid-free herbicide or plant growth regulant composition formed by intimately mixing together the following ingredients: a) at least one agriculturally acceptable amine, alkali metal, alkylsulfonium, alkylphosphonium, sulfonylamine, or aminoguanidine salt of glyphosate as the only herbicide or plant growth regulant used in forming said composition; b) at least one water-soluble long chain aliphatic hydrocarbyl dimethyl amine oxide in which the hydrocarbyl group is a linear or substantially linear saturated or olefinically unsaturated aliphatic group having in the range of 8 to 22 carbon atoms; c) at least one water-soluble quaternary ammonium halide having in the range of 8 to 40 carbon atoms in the molecule, ingredients b) and c) being the only surfactants used in forming said composition; and d) optionally, one or more agriculturally acceptable substances none of which is a herbicide, or a plant growth regulant or a surfactant.

Verfahren zur Kontrolle von Vegetation, bei dem auf Pflanzenlaubwerk eine herbizide oder das Pflanzenwachstum regulierende Menge einer herbiziden oder pflanzenwachstumregulierenden Zusammensetzung, die frei von mehrwertigem Metall und Metalloid ist, aufgebracht wird, die durch inniges Mischen der folgenden Bestandteile miteinander gebildet worden ist: a) mindestens ein landwirtschaftlich akzeptables Amin-, Alkalimetall-, Alkylsulfonium-, Alkylphosphonium-, Sulfonylamin- oder Aminoguanidinsalz von Glyphosat als dem einzigen zur Bildung der Zusammensetzung verwendeten Herbizid oder Pflanzenwachstumsregulierungsmittel, b) mindestens ein wasserlösliches langkettiger aliphatischer Kohlenwasserstoffdimethylaminoxid, in dem die Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe eine lineare oder im wesentlichen lineare, gesättigte oder olefinisch ungesättigte aliphatische Gruppe mit 8 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen ist, c) mindestens ein wasserlösliches quartäres Ammoniumhalogenid mit 8 bis 40 Kohlenstoffatomen im Molekül, wobei die Bestandteile b) und c) die einzigen zur Bildung der Zusammensetzung verwendeten Tenside sind, und d) gegebenfalls eine oder mehrere landwirtschaftlich akzeptable Substanz(en), von denen keine ein Herbizid, ein Pflanzenwachstumsregulierungsmittel oder ein Tensid ist.

Verfahren zur Kontrolle von Vegetation, bei dem auf ein Pflanzenlaubwerk eine herbizide oder das pflanzenwachstumregulierende Menge einer an mehrwertigem metall- und metalloidfreien herbiziden oder das Pflanzenwachstum regulierende Zusammensetzung aufgebracht wird, die durch inniges Mischen der folgenden Bestandteile miteinander gebildet worden ist: a) mindestens ein landwirtschaftlich akzeptables Amin-, Alkalimetall-, Aikylsulfonium-, Alkylphosphonium-, Sulfonylamin- oder Aminoguanidinsalz von Glyphosat als dem einzigen Herbizid (den einzigen Herbiziden) oder Pflanzenwachstumsregulationsmittel (Pflanzenwachstumsregulierungsmitteln), das/die zur Bildung der Zusammensetzung verwendet wird/werden, b) mindestens eine wasserlösliche langkettige aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffsulfonsäure oder ein Landwirtschaftlich akzeptables Salz oder ein landwirtschaftlich akzeptabler Esters derselben, wobei die Kohlenwasserstoffgruppe eine gesättigte aliphatische Gruppe mit 10 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen ist und durch die zuvor genannte Funktionalität endständig substituiert ist, als dem einzigen Tensid (den einzigen Tensiden), das/die zur Bildung der Zusammensetzung verwendet wird/werden.
