I have a Schertler SB and am quite surprised that they are so little known. they are great guitars, nice to play and great sound when plugged in. My only criticism of them is they are light on bass end when played acoustically. I see someone said the Maton was the best plugged in, reckon the Schertler could match that easily, their pickup systems are after all the top of the tree. The Schertler is far from overbuilt , as someone says of the Maton, it is very cleverly put together with minimum bulk but seems plenty strong. As ever best to try both, it's a very personal thing Guitar choice.
