A trip to the Genius Bar in Basingstoke saw them recover the crash reports. Apparently two apps were causing the crashes: mDNSresponder and locationd. I explained to the genius what these were and how they were not user-installed apps. "You obviously know much more about this than I do" was his response. :-( The only thing to do was to swap the hardware. Sure enough this has eliminated the panics. Top marks to Apple for sorting the problem with such little fuss.

Eine Reise in die Genius Bar im Basingstoke sah sie die Crash-Berichte zu erholen. Anscheinend waren zwei apps die Abstürze verursachen: mDNSresponder und Locationd. Ich erklärte das Genie was das waren und wie sie Benutzer installierte apps nicht waren. "Sie natürlich viel mehr über dieses Wissen als ich tun", war seine Antwort. :-( Das einzige, was zu tun war, die Hardware zu tauschen. Dies hat sicher genug die Panik beseitigt. Bestnoten an Apple für die Sortierung des Problems mit so wenig Aufhebens.
