The effect of various surfactants on the soly. of methacrylic acid-based polyelectrolytes that are insol. in water at low pH, i.e. isotactic poly(methacrylic acid), i-PMA, Luviflex Soft and Luviflex Silk, was studied by surface tension, fluorescence spectroscopy, potentiometric titrn. and dynamic light scattering, DLS, measurements. Results show that Luviflex Silk and Luviflex Soft form polymeric micelles in aq. solns. above a well-defined concn., whereas both i-PMA and Luviflex Soft undergo a pH-induced conformational transition.

Die Wirkung der verschiedenen Tensiden auf die soly. der Methacrylsäure-basierte Polyelectrolytes, die insol. in Wasser bei niedrigen pH, d. h. isotaktischen Poly(methacrylic acid), sind wurden i-PMA, Luviflex weich und Luviflex Seide, Oberflächenspannung, Fluoreszenzspektroskopie, Potentiometrische Titrn studiert. und dynamische Lichtstreuung, DLS, Messungen. Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Luviflex Silk und Luviflex Soft in Aq. Lösungen Polymere Mizellen bilden. über eine klar definierte Concn. während sowohl die i-PMA Luviflex Soft einen pH-Wert-induzierte Konformationsänderungen Übergang stattfinden.

The crit. assocn. concn. values for each surfactant in the presence of completely ionized polyions were detd. Potentiometric and DLS measurements show that the addn. of an anionic and a nonionic surfactant significantly increases the soly. of the polymers at low pH, while the presence of a cationic surfactant results in a formation of an insol. polymer-surfactant aggregate. The present results could help in regulating the removal of hair-setting polymers by water.

Die Assocn meistern. Concn. Werte für jedes Tensid in Anwesenheit vollständig ionisierten Polyions waren Detd. Potentiometric und DLS-Messungen zeigen, dass die addn. von einem anionischen und nichtionischen Tensiden signifikant erhöht die soly. der Polymere bei niedrigen pH-Wert, während das Vorhandensein eines kationischen Tensiden Ergebnisse in einer Formation von ein Insol. Polymer-Tensid-Aggregat. Die vorliegenden Ergebnisse könnte helfen bei der Regulierung der Entfernung der Haare-Einstellung Polymere durch Wasser.
