The scenario here is overpressure of the propane gas system due to failure of the propane pressure reducing valve, PCV-27377, leading to loss of containment in the boiler house. In the Final Bow-Tie report credit is taken for protection against overpressure from PIZA-27372. There is however no high pressure trip, so this may have to be added by SKG. Our understanding of the system is as follows: The pressure reduction valve PCV-27377 is an RMG 300 Gas Pressure Regulator with an integral SAV (SAV-27377) set at ?? barg. The SAV vents to ??. Downstream of PCV-27377 is a SBV (SV-44702) safety relief valve for gas leakages which is set at 0.8 barg. This is not sized for the full flow through PCV-27377 and hence is not valid as a safety barrier. We would like to request SKG to explain the protection against overpressure of the propane (ignition) gas system.
