wir haben Gnadenstuhl durch den Glauben in seinem Blut

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

welchen Gott hat vorgestellt zu einem Gnadenstuhl durch den Glauben in seinem Blut, damit er die Gerechtigkeit, die vor ihm gilt, darbiete in dem, daß er Sünde vergibt, welche bisher geblieben war unter göttlicher Geduld;

we have propitiation through faith

haben wir Versöhnung durch den Glauben

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Und derselbe ist die Versöhnung für unsre Sünden, nicht allein aber für die unseren sondern auch für die der ganzen Welt.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Darin steht die Liebe: nicht, daß wir Gott geliebt haben, sondern daß er uns geliebt hat und gesandt seinen Sohn zur Versöhnung für unsre Sünden.
