Subject: Legal rights of asylum-seekers

Betrifft: Rechtssicherheit von Asylbewerbern

The UK Government is failing to protect the rights of asylum-seekers' children by holding them for prolonged periods in the Dungavel centre and the devolved Scottish Government, which is responsible for the provision of education in Scotland, has failed to ensure that they are given access to mainstream education while resident in our country.

Die Regierung des Vereinigten Königreichs versäumt es, die Rechte der Kinder von Asylbewerbern zu schützen, indem sie über längere Zeiträume in der Anstalt Dungavel festgehalten werden, während sich die dezentralisierte schottische Regierung, zu deren Ressorts das Bildungswesen in Schottland gehört, nicht imstande gezeigt hat, ihnen während ihres Aufenthalts in unserem Land Zugang zur allgemeinen Bildung zu gewähren.

Member States must do more to prevent exploitation of vulnerable workers as well; to make sure that disabled and older people have a way into employment; to prevent trafficking; to safeguard the rights of asylum-seekers; to ensure equal access to healthcare and community services for all; to destigmatise people with mental health problems; and to promote a more constructive approach to drugs and alcohol.

Außerdem müssen die Mitgliedstaaten mehr tun, um die Ausbeutung von schutzbedürftigen Beschäftigten zu verhindern; um den Zugang von behinderten und älteren Menschen zum Arbeitsmarkt sicherzustellen; um Menschenhandel zu unterbinden; um die Rechte von Asylsuchenden zu wahren; um für alle den gleichen Zugang zu Gesundheitsdiensten und Diensten für die Allgemeinheit zu gewährleisten; um die Entstigmatisierung von Menschen mit psychischen Problemen zu erreichen und um einen konstruktiveren Ansatz im Hinblick auf die Drogen- und Alkoholproblematik zu fördern.
