(18) The visits are announced as far as possible at least two months in advance so that the competent authority can make the necessary arrangements. Once the date of the visit is confirmed, the Commission services will inform the competent authority of the composition of the verification team, which normally comprises two to four representatives, possibly also including national experts on secondment to the Commission.

(18) Die Überprüfungen werden nach Möglichkeit mindestens zwei Monate im Voraus angekündigt, damit die zuständige Behörde die nötige Zeit zur Vorbereitung hat. Nach Bestätigung des Termins informieren die Kommissionsdienststellen die zuständige nationale Behörde über die Zusammensetzung des Überprüfungsteams, dem im Allgemeinen zwei bis vier Prüfer angehören, darunter eventuell auch zur Kommission abgeordnete nationale Sachverständige.
