The moth is just amazing to have alive on your hand! It is furry, and squeaks – almost like handling a little mammal. It also humps its back and displays the blue markings on the body, as well as the famous skull and crossbones on the thorax. The moth needs to feed, not from flowers but from a pad soaked in weak honey or sugar solution. Moths have been found inside beehives, attracted by the sweet smell of honey. We have supplied most orders for 2012. Our specialist breeder will next produce eggs in the spring and we are booking orders for these now. This is our most popular species: earliest booked orders are sent out first.

Die Motte ist einfach unglaublich lebendig auf der Hand haben! Es ist pelzartig und quietscht – fast wie ein kleines Säugetier zu behandeln. Außerdem den Rücken Bodenschwellen und zeigt die blauen Markierungen auf den Körper, als auch die berühmte Totenkopf auf den Brustkorb. Die Falter muss nicht aus Blumen, sondern aus einem Pad in schwachen Honig oder Zuckerlösung getränkt feed. Motten wurden innerhalb der Bienenstöcke, angezogen von den süßen Duft von Honig gefunden.
