First of all, I did not invite the group, and I have already told the press that I do not agree with all that the group said.However, after the manner of Voltaire, I consider that anybody should be free to demonstrate his own ideas, especially in a place which represents the sovereignty of the people.

Zunächst einmal war nicht ich es, der die Gruppe eingeladen hat; ich habe bereits, auch gegenüber der Presse, betont, daß ich nicht allen Äußerungen dieser Jugendlichen beipflichte, doch bin ich nach dem Vorbild Voltaires der Auffassung, daß an einem bestimmten Punkt jeder die Möglichkeit haben muß, seine Ideen zum Ausdruck zu bringen, insbesondere an einem Ort, wo die Volkssouveränität vertreten wird.
