They show the same facies as Ca2 finely laminated carbonates deposited in the realm of the surrounding non-anomalous Ca2 slope (Ca2 condensed section) on top of finely laminated, deeper-marine A1 anhydrites (Z1/A1 thickness approx. 100 m).

During the onset of carbonate production (coated-grain, composite- grain and fossil packstones/grainstones) on top of the high-relief type areas (Ca2 late transgressive and early highstand deposits: intra-Ca2 cycle II), the Ca2-cycle-I carbonates (early transgressive deposits) on top of the low-relief areas were drowned. This is indicated by finely laminated, deeper-marine carbonates, rich in spicules and/or bryozoans on top of karstified shallow-water carbonates. Turbidites, intercalated in finely laminated, deeper-marine carbonates of the northern Ca2 slope, prove the inundation of the northern Ca2 platform and by this correspond to Ca2 highstand systems tract (highstand shedding).
