Following the publication of EN 45545 series all existing national fire safety standards for railway rolling stock in Europe will have to be withdrawn after 6 months. The dow concerns the EN as a whole. It is not possible to exempt any clause, sub-clause or other element of the EN from the application of the dow. However, the project work and design of current vehicles series are in accordance with the requirements of TSI HS RST dated March 2008 where the national standards are still applicable.

Nach der Veröffentlichung der EN 45545-Serie alle bestehenden nationalen Brandschutznormen für Schienenfahrzeuge in Europa wird sich nach 6 Monaten zurückgezogen werden. Der Dow betrifft die DE als Ganzes. Es ist nicht möglich, jede Klausel, Unterabschnitt oder andere Element des EN aus der Anwendung des Dow freizustellen. Allerdings sind die Projektarbeit und das Design der aktuellen Fahrzeuge Serie in Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen der TSI RST HS vom März 2008, wo die nationalen Normen sind nach wie vor zutreffend.
