During her sabbatical stay in the Edgar lab, Dr. Sacuedo will be learning how to use the Drosophila intestine as a system to examine genetic interactions during tumorigenesis. Specifically, she will examine interactions between PRL-1 and two other genes involved in carcinogenesis (the oncogene Src and the tumor suppressor p53).
