He studied at home, and at the age of fifteen he worked in a telegraph office. There he made his first invention - and instrument that could automatically send signals from wire to wire. All in all he made over 1,000 inventions inculding the phornograph (1877) and the electric light bulb (1879). His most exiting invention was probably the kinetoscope. This instrument made it possible to watch a short film.You had to put in a coin , and then you could watch a fim trough a hole. His firs film was "Frankenstein". It was fourteen minutes long.
