Dear liberal colleague, dear compatriot, you know that it is pathetic to speak about the democratic deficit these days.When, for example, most European parliamentarians and federal parliamentarians in Belgium tolerate the fact that, in our country, the elections, both national and European, are systematically fixed by taxpayers'money which all parties receive, apart from mine, the Front national, by the media in Belgium where the press is free but subsidized, by the courts which ban the Front national list for the Senate for no good reason -and tomorrow, why not, the list for the European Parliament -and by the authorities which regularly throw my party 's militants into prison just because they want to brush aside corrupt politicians and finally give people a say in things.

Meine werte liberale Kollegin und Landsmännin, es ist Ihnen wohlbewußt, daß es heute ziemlich lächerlich ist, von Demokratiedefizit zu sprechen, wenn beispielsweise von der Mehrheit der Mitglieder des Europäischen Parlaments und der Mitglieder des belgischen Bundesparlaments zugelassen wird, daß in unserem Land Wahlen, ob es sich um nationale oder europäische Wahlen handelt, durch das Geld der Steuerzahler, das sämtliche Parteien, außer der meinigen, dem Front national, erhalten, durch die Medien in einem Belgien, in dem die Presse zwar frei, aber subventioniert ist, durch die Justiz, von der grundlos die Liste des Front national im Senat entfernt wird, durch die Regierung, von der aktive Mitglieder meiner Partei regelmäßig ins Gefängnis gesteckt werden, weil sie eine korrumpierte politische Klasse säubern und endlich das Volk wieder zu Wort kommen lassen möchten, verfälscht werden.
