I have said little of the educational value of the day nursery to the parents, but this is from no lack of appreciation but rather from the recognotion that an audience such as this will fully recognise the beneficent effect of providing so dramatic, and yet so practical a picture of the results of good diet, hygiene and proper management for young children. The naughtiest child becomes good and the most fragile robust. For this purpose simplicity is of great importance, and while efficiency in equipment must not be sacrificed, simplicity must remain the key-note of both premises and furnishings. In conclusion, I would like once more to commend the day nursery as a necessary and useful institution. Die frechste Kind wird gut und die meisten fragile robust. Hierzu Einfachheit ist von großer Bedeutung, und während Effizienz in Geräten nicht geopfert werden muss, muss der Einfachheit Grundton beider Räumlichkeiten und eingerichtet bleiben. Abschließend möchte ich noch einmal gerne die Krippe als notwendige und nützliche Einrichtung loben.
