Afther this amazing morning we bad high hopes when sailing out into Faxafloi Bay in brillant weater.Alredy on our way out we found a pod of Harbour Porpoises, as usually they were quite shy and surfaced just a few times. Just a bit further out we encountered the first fast travelling Minke Whales on this tour, we stopped shortly to head out further into the bay. Just a few minutes later the next Minke Whales showed up and we had a quick look at it. But knowing about the Humpbacks we headed on to reach them bofore the end of the tour. And this was definitely the right aim, because we found not only one Humpback, we ended in a spot with two Humpbacks and two more Minke Whales at the some time.

Afther diesem erstaunlichen Morgen haben wir große Hoffnungen schlecht beim Segeln hinaus in die Bucht Faxaflói in brillanten weater.Alredy auf unserem Weg haben wir eine Schule von Schweinswale gefunden, da in der Regel waren sie ziemlich schüchtern und tauchte nur wenige Male. Nur ein bisschen weiter draußen haben wir die erste schnelle Reisen Zwergwale auf dieser Tour begegnet, hielten wir kurz den Kopf aus weiter in die Bucht. Nur wenige Minuten später die nächste Zwergwale auftauchte und wir hatten einen kurzen Blick auf sie. Aber das Wissen über die Buckelwale wir gingen auf sie zu erreichen bofore das Ende der Tour. Und das war definitiv der richtige Ziel, weil wir nicht nur ein Buckelwal gefunden, landeten wir an einer Stelle mit zwei Buckelwale und zwei weitere Zwergwale an der einige Zeit.

There were at least two more blows of other Humpbacks further out but as those two we stayed with were really great, there was no need to search longer. Once one of them suddenly surfaced so close to the boat that he scared us all a bit with his amazing loud blow. After trying to leave this area several times until we really had to head back towards Reykjavik, we had to stop three more times three Minke Whales, that crossed our way. A brilland day in a calm bay with beautiful weather and A lot of Whales.

Es gab mindestens zwei weitere Schläge von anderen Buckelwale weiter draußen, aber wie die beiden blieben wir mit waren wirklich toll, es gab keine Notwendigkeit, länger zu suchen. Sobald einer von ihnen plötzlich aufgetaucht, so nah am Boot, dass er Angst vor uns allen ein wenig mit seinem erstaunlich laute Schlag. Nach dem Versuch, diese Zone verlassen, mehrere Male, bis wir hatten wirklich wieder Richtung Reykjavik, mussten wir stoppen noch dreimal drei Zwergwale, die unseren Weg gekreuzt. Ein brilland Tage in einer ruhigen Bucht mit schönem Wetter und einer Menge Wale.
