The Information and Coordination Centre for Biological Diversity (IBV) coordinates the German Genebank ornamental plants and forms the umbrella organization. Furthermore, the structure of education provision in the area of ​​on-farm conservation of plant genetic resources is supported by the IVB BLE and coordinated. The German library ornamentals is the umbrella organization for these subnetworks and is coordinated by the IBV (Information and Coordination Centre for Biological Diversity of the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE).

Das Informations-und Koordinationszentrum für Biologische Vielfalt (IBV) koordiniert die deutschen Genbank Zierpflanzen und bildet die Dachorganisation. Darüber hinaus wird die Struktur des Bildungsangebots im Bereich der On-farm-Erhaltung genetischer Ressourcen von der IVB BLE unterstützt und koordiniert. Die deutsche Bibliothek Zierpflanzen ist die Dachorganisation für diese Teilnetze und wird von der IBV (Informations-und Koordinationszentrum für Biologische Vielfalt der Bundesanstalt für Landwirtschaft und Ernährung (BLE) koordiniert.

The umbrella organisation was created at the end of 2009 by non-governmental organizations active at national and regional levels. By using the umbrella organization as a common platform, the member organisations aim at uniting their forces and improve the framework for their conservation activities. The member organisations cooperate by sharing technical knowledge and experience relevant to their conservation work, in the areas of public relations and education, as well as fundraising and realisation of projects. They jointly represent their interests vis-à-vis policy decision makers. Pertinent issues are discussed at workshops and symposia. Member organisations are active in German-speaking countries at the national as well as the regional level. Individuals can also support the work of the umbrella organization by affiliating as member, making a donation or by active participation. The umbrella organization is of common public interest and has been granted charity status.

Der Dachverband wurde am Ende des Jahres 2009 von Nicht-Regierungs-Organisationen, die auf nationaler und regionaler Ebene geschaffen. Durch die Verwendung der Dachverband als gemeinsame Plattform, zielen die Mitgliedsorganisationen zu vereinen ihre Kräfte und zur Verbesserung der Rahmenbedingungen für ihre Aktivitäten zum Schutz. Die Mitgliedsorganisationen kooperieren durch den Austausch von technischen Kenntnissen und Erfahrungen, die für ihre Erhaltung Arbeit in den Bereichen der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Bildung, sowie Fundraising und Realisierung von Projekten. Sie gemeinsam ihre Interessen vertreten vis-à-vis politischen Entscheidungsträgern. Relevante Themen werden in Workshops und Symposien diskutiert. Mitgliedsorganisationen sind in den deutschsprachigen Ländern auf nationaler als auch auf regionaler Ebene aktiv. Einzelpersonen können auch die Arbeit des Dachverbandes durch Angliederung als Mitglied, eine Spende oder durch aktive Teilnahme. Die Dachorganisation von gemeinsamem öffentlichen Interesses und wurde Charity-Status gewährt.
