The breccia beds of Lithofacies 2 do not represent debris flow deposits because they are not matrix supported, show no reverse grading, and although the fabric is mostly random, there is some alignment of clasts. There exists ample seismic evidence for the widespread dissolution of evaporites in this general area (Jenyon et al., 1984; Jenyon and Taylor, 1987; Jenyon, 1988a; 1988b) and the Barents Shelf (Gerard and Buhrig, 1990). Furthermore, because of seismic discontinuities at the base of the Zechstein in the vicinity of well 38/24-1 (Figures 4 and2;), the possibility of dissolution collapse brecciation should be carefully considered. Solution collapse breccia beds are generally characterized by monolithic clasts, which are commonly underlain by a mixture of dolomite and clay representing insoluble residues that have remained after the removal of evaporites. Solution breccia zones commonly show non-graded clasts with a fitted fabric (little rotation or separation).

Drillhole CB-83 intersected 47.1m of supergene copper oxides averaging 0.58% Cu, 0.16g/t Au and 1.6g/t Ag, including 24.0m grading 0.87% Cu, 0.12g/t Au and 1.6g/t Ag, and underlain by 111.1m of primary copper mineralization averaging 0.21% Cu, 0.06g/t Au and 1.2g/t Ag.

The drill results include infill and step out drill holes to both the south and west sides of the Ccalla deposit. Some highlights are as follows: Drillhole CB-86 intersected 60.0m of supergene-enriched chalcocite mineralization grading 1.55% Cu, 0.57 g/t Au and 7 g/t Ag underlain by 70.3m of primary copper mineralization grading 1.34% Cu, 1.09 g/t Au and 7 g/t Ag and a second interval of 154.9m of primary copper mineralization grading 0.77% Cu, 0.51 g/t Au and 6 g/t Ag.

Drillhole CB-88 intersected 11.5m of leached capping grading 0.12% Cu, 0.90 g/t Au and 2 g/t Ag underlain by 38.0m of supergene copper oxide mineralization grading 0.83% Cu, 0.08 g/t Au and 1 g/t Ag.
