Dear Ursula, I hope this finds you well and that you are having a productive summer. Now that our Aphrodite exhibition is over, I've been able to turn my attention to other projects. In particular, I'd like to begin working with Getty Publications on the publication(s) that will accompany the exhibition of the Ceglie vases. As I understand it, you are interested in: - a small publication to coincide with the opening of the exhibition, covering the history of the project and the restoration work. - a second publication, based on a conference (or perhaps two conferences).

This was the conversation with Karol (and you and others? last year when I had been in Malibu) that possibly a conference should be held at the Getty during the exhibition (concerning vase restorations) and possibly in Berlin in 2016 during the exhibition (concerning Apulian vases). Then, however, in talks was considered whether you should not represent in the Getty conference also art historical (archaeological) aspects.
