In a steady fluctuation of diverse techniques of live play on the cello and recordings played on the loud speakers, and their mutual influencing, the composition “Blinman” for violoncello and electronic media by Johannes S. Sistermanns continually re-explores the listening space as possible living environment and in this way questions the borders, or the horizon, of one’s (own) listening.

Die Komposition »Blinman« für Violoncello und elektronische Medien von Johannes S. Sistermanns lotet in einem kontinuierlichen Changieren und in gegenseitiger Beeinflussung von spieltechnisch vielfältigem Live-Spiel des Cellos und Lautsprechereinspielungen, den Hörraum als möglichen Lebensraum immer neu aus und hinterfragt auf diese Weise die Grenzen bzw. den Horizont des (eigenen) Hörens.

Besides performing Early Music Aline Burla is intrigued by the interpretation of contemporary music. She is a founding member of the Ensemble Lusciniol (voice, recorder, violoncello and harpsichord) as well as La Merula Quartet (four recorders).

Neben der Aufführung von alter Musik beschäftigt sich Aline Burla gerne mit der Interpretation zeitgenössischer Kompositionen. Ausserdem ist sie Mitgründerin des Ensembles Lusciniol (Gesang, Blockflöte, Barockcello, Cembalo) und des La Merula Quartetts (Blockflöten).

He studied violoncello under the tutelage of the Russian cellist prof. Karine Georgian at the Musikhochschule Detmold and then under Reinhard Latzko and Ivan Monighetti at the Musikakademie Basel where he graduated with a concert diploma in 1994.

Er studierte Violoncello bei der russischen Cellistin Prof. Karine Georgian an der Musikhochschule Detmold, danach an der Musikakademie Basel bei Reinhard Latzko und Ivan Monighetti, wo er 1994 das Konzertreifediplom ablegte.
