40 km southwest from Canberra is a 4000 hectare large Nature Reserve. In 2003 there were a large bush fire which was a very stronger impaired. Today there are kangaroos, walla baby, emus and the shy Platypuses. At the fire the koala bears are all died only one koala bear has survived which are baptized Lucky. Except animals in the wildernis, there are other things, like the National Aquarium or the Wildlife Park. Here you can look at native fishes of the sea, lakes and rivers. In the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve in Tharwa, which is 40 kilometers in the south of Canberra, you can hiking and see birds. Many of the birds are so tame that you can feed them.
