And his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, to secure it from the Midianites.

Und Gideon, sein Sohn, schlug eben Weizen aus in der Kelter, um ihn vor Midian zu flüchten.

And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Und die Kelter ward draußen vor der Stadt getreten; und das Blut ging von der Kelter bis an die Zäume der Pferde durch tausend sechshundert Feld Wegs.

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Und aus seinem Munde ging ein scharfes Schwert, daß er damit die Heiden schlüge; und er wird sie regieren mit eisernem Stabe; und er tritt die Kelter des Weins des grimmigen Zorns Gottes, des Allmächtigen.

And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

Und er hat ihn verzäunt und mit Steinhaufen verwahrt und edle Reben darin gesenkt. Er baute auch einen Turm darin und grub eine Kelter darein und wartete, daß er Trauben brächte; aber er brachte Herlinge.
