Auch ich bin Baskin, ich bin eine baskische Frau, eine Sozialistin und Baskin, eine von über 92% der Bürger des Baskenlands, die in Euskadi für das Autonomiestatut und die Demokratie gestimmt haben.

I am one of the 92% of Basque people who voted in the Basque Country in favour of the Statute of Autonomy and in favour of democracy.

Heute, meine Damen und Herren, fühle ich mich glücklich als Baskin, als Spanierin und als Europäerin.

Ladies and gentlemen, I feel happy today as a Basque, as a Spaniard and as a European.

Ich will und kann mich nicht der Tatsache entziehen, dass ich Baskin bin.

I cannot and will not ignore the fact that I am Basque.
